Orby bought medicine at Parchment drug store for cracks at corner of mouth. 99 cents, made by Upjohn's. Going to be nice day I think. Temperature is 46 degrees at noon.

It was quite nice and not cold, temperature 42 at 12:30, stayed home, wrote Mrs. Dennis a letter.
Monday, February 3, 1964
I gave Effie "Healing from Christ" book, T.L. Osborn, Box 10, Tulsa 2, Okla. It is a very nice day, temperature is 26 degrees at 9:30 o'clock.

Temperature 29 degrees at 8 o'clock. Nice day. Mr. and Mrs. Warner came to look at our 5 acres today and like it a lot.

Dad went to Otsego go groceries. Stopped to Ike's, he was getting ready to go to Hickory Corners to Nellie's. Called Orpha, she was at Claudia's.

Temperature was 31 this morning. I did a wash. People come to look at house. They like it, it was Mr. Warner.
Friday, February 7, 1964
Temperature 30 this morning. It is snowing this morning. 2 people came to look at place. They were from Martin. We went to look at the house across form Orpha's, she wants to get it, so much but they ask $15,900.00 too much for 2 bedrooms and small at that.

Sent Earl Newman a book. It is 25 degrees. Orpha called tonight, she has been to Doctor, feels some better.

Dad is out cleaning drive way, i called Ike and he has not felt too good but says he is better this morning. Wrote Merle and Letha tonight. Orpha was here a while. She was to Tie's daughter's baby funeral. She did not stay long as she was tired and had to get home to start supper. She stopped at the store. Ike is some better. (Tie is Carolyn Diller, she was a neighbor of Bud and Orpha's when they lived in Oakwood in the 1940's).

Nice day, only little colder. I did a wash. It is 9:15 am have it done. Dad hung them in basement. Sun is shining, it is 22 degrees now at 9:15 am.
Tuesday, February 11, 1964
I did a wash and cleaned my front room, 2 bedrooms. Dad feels better. Ken and Betty has a new Oldsmobile, they like it real well, it is blue.
Wednesday, February 12, 1964
Went to Otsego to Betty's, she let me see her stove and refrigerator and new carpet. Ken's Dad was there, we had a nice visit. Went to Ike's and he was not at home. When we got home, Ike had been to our house, left papers and a beautiful bouquet of flowers for my Birthday, red and yellow in a china dish. They are beautiful. He is a very nice son and I pity him as he is so lonesome with my dear daughter Daisy.

It is 32 degrees. this morning, I am 38. Ha Ha, but turn it around 83. I am baking one loaf of bread. I got a gown, 3 kitchen towels and 3 dish cloths, yellow, from Merle. Orpha got me a lovely skillet and Claudia got me lovely brass flower. Ike got me lovely waxed roses in lovely container. Rosemary gave me a box of candy. Merle called today on my Birthday.

Claudia's Birthday, Valentine's Day. (20 years) Went riding and ended up at Orpha's, Claudia was there, we had a nice visit. It was 22 degrees this morning.

It is a nice morning. I got 14 Birthday cards. Temperature is 18 degrees. I am crocheting a holder. Went to Ike's, had quite a visit. He still feels bad and we both cried, he said it is seeming worse all the time. Mr. McLaughlin is to Rosie's now, he was at Betty's then, he goes to either son's or his own home.

Temperature 22, Nice day. Some women came to look at place.

Orpha called, said she did not feel too good and was going back to bed a while. I fixed over some slips 3. Ike came over a while, brought over some papers. Orby feels better.
Wednesday, February 19, 1964
Temperature 28, nice morning. I am washing clothes today, got medicine from Mass., bladder medicine and teeth pads. I finished my pink slip today.
Thursday, February 20, 1964
Three months ago at around 1 o'clock the saddest thing happened. we lost Daisy and oh such a blow to us. I just can't get over it. I loved her so much and she depended on me so. I miss her so much, no one knows how much. Only the Lord knows. She was a very sweet girl had a kind disposition and sure missed so much. Temperature this morning 28 degrees. I did an ironing, 2 women came to look at our place.

Sent letter to Sears about nylons. A little colder this morning. I am washing a few pieces for Orby. This morning Orby went to Cooper store, bought 2 peanut and cabbage, Ritz. It was little cold but turned out to be a nice day.

Did a little wash and cleaned my front room. It is a nice day, no mail and I sure miss it.

We were getting ready to go to Effie's when Blanche, Edith and Henry came, had a nice visit. Treated them with ice cream and cookies. Trying to snow some. They all looked pretty healthy. Edith still stays with Blanch and I let them see all my crochet work, they thought it nice.
Monday, February 24, 1964
It is colder this morning, degree 18. I still have a little cold, seems to hang on. Ike called, felling pretty good. Orby don't sleep good at night, too bad. I feel sorry for him. All alone there as he won't leave and go any place very long at a time. Seems to want to stay where Daisy had been. I can't hardly give her up either. She was so sweet to everyone. I miss my darling daughter.

28 degrees this morning. Orby slept good last night. I dreamed all night, tired this morning. Went to Orpha's had a nice visit. She has her nice dishes in her corner cupboard, they look nice. Dad got me some new kind of cold medicine. I bought a blue 4 piece set of dishes for Ike. He likes them.

Nice day, it is 24 this morning. I am crocheting pot holders. I want to vacuum my 2 bed rooms and front room after dinner.

Colder today, degree 4. I have 3 pot holders all finished for the flowers, when I get the thread I will finish putting on the flowers. Mrs. Russ and her two boys were here today. She said her mother passed away in January, she had cancer.

It is 30 degrees this morning and seems good. Got a card from Mrs. Dennis. A notice from Tulsa, Arizona that Joyce has paid for a subscription to Abundant Life Magazine, Oral Roberts. I talked to Ike and I taled with orpha, she is better, Ike is okay.

Temperature is 26, it is a nice morning. I am washing clothes today. 1 o'clock temperature is 48 degrees. I fell and hurt my head, hand and leg, it is all black and blue. Ike brought over papers and piece of Pike fish. I cooked some for supper but did not like it. I have more to cook, guess I will try baking it.
