Tuesday, August 1, 1944
Finished making two wheel trailer. Sold cream, Orby went to Otsego.
Wednesday, August 2, 1944
Painted trailer.
Thursday, August 3, 1944
Made rabbit pens.
Friday, August 4, 1944
Sold cream $2.85, did some ironing, two rabbits bred our first rabbit and the mother to gray rabbits.
Saturday, August 5, 1944
Merle went home from Long Lake, brought my radio home, tried to sprinkle a Little but we did not get any rain.
Sunday, August 6, 1944
Stayed home so hot and dry, did not care to go anywhere.
Monday, August 7, 1944
Went to Otsego, then had supper with Merle's, he gave us some meat.
Tuesday, August 8, 1944
Went to Orphas for dinner, it was her Birthday, she was 34 today, had a good dinner and nice time. The baby Claudia is sure a sweet babe.
Wednesday, August 9, 1944
Went to sale near Otsego but did not stay. Sure hot and dry. Brown old rabbit got 7 little ones today, 2 dead, lost another, now 4. Sold cream but they cheated us, so won't sell no more.

Dad is putting dressing on horse barn today.

Orpha was here for dinner. Claudia sure is sweet. Orpha gave Dad $1.00 for Birthday.

Went to Otsego, Betty brought lots clothes for her baby. Letha coming home with us to stay till tomorrow night, then Merle will come to supper and take them home.

A very nice day, Letha and I are visiting today, she made a dark cake for tonight's supper. The wind awful hard tonight. The men were here to see about fixing the electric line to Haywood's. Scholton was here to buy farm.

did my ironing, the black rabbits had 2 yellow today.

Changed the linoleum in kitchen.

Mopped and cleaned upstairs.

Spent the afternoon with our friends at Vicksburg.

Went to Otsego then to a sale over by Battle Creek.

Roy and Dorothy come this afternoon, was going back tonight but I asked them to stay.
Wednesday, August 23, 1944
Will take Dorothy and Roy home today, as we want to see about some buildings for sale. Sprinkled a little, we need a rain so much.

Went to Willard's, Earls and Lucille, saw Blanch's baby. It is nice. Bessie gave me some tomatoes. Will get little rabbits tomorrow. Our garage at Morrell burned.
(Willard is Orbys brother, Earl is Orbys brother, he married Edith and their daughter is Blanch)

Went to Orphas this evening, little Claudia is sweet, so good. Bobby went some place. Claudia has two teeth and I believe she has fallen off in weight.

A white rabbit had little ones last night, 1 dead, had around 15.
Sunday, August 27, 1944
Merle's was here for dinner, brought me some meat, had a good time.

Went to Otsego then went to Dr. to see about my foot, he cost $2.00, bound it in tape.
Tuesday, August 29, 1944
Sold our farm today, to Mathew Scholten for $10,000.00.
Wednesday, August 30, 1944
Went to Orpha a while, Dad went to Kalamazoo, Bobby went along.
Thursday, August 31, 1944
Rained hard last night, every thing look nice and green. Still raining this morning.
