Went to Orphas, had a real nice visit, the baby is nice. I did my wash this morning, it is a very nice day.
Saturday, March 4, 1944
Our heifer Sadie had her calf last night, a bull calf. I ironed today.
Sunday, March 5, 1944
We stayed to home, Merle's came after dinner, stayed for supper, had a very lovely time.
Monday, March 6, 1944
Went to Otsego, Mrs. Cunnington moved out of house on Morrell Street. Daisy was still sick, she gave me a picture of Donald, sure is nice of him, she said Donald also had a hard cold.
Tuesday, March 7, 1944
Some what cold but sun shining bright. Dad is fixing bathroom window.
Wednesday, March 8, 1944
I cleaned bathroom, got my order from Spiegels.
Thursday, March 9, 1944
Orby went to Vicksburg to have income made out, got order for Spiegel, shoes, table cloth and dress goods. I did my wash.

It is a nice Sun shiny day, but some wind. Our little pigs are growing fine. I ironed clothes, made butter.

Went to Orpha this afternoon. Had a good visit, she was to see Dr. at Vicksburg. Dad went to sale, saw Willard's there.

We was home all day, and it was a very nice day, has been nice now several days.
Monday, March 13, 1944
Sent to Montgomery for an order $23.44. Went to Otsego to clean out house on Morrell Street. Sold junk $1.25. Was to Daisy's, she thinks Donald has been sent across. I feel so sorry for her, Rosa is getting ready to where Jerry is. Daisy said Betty was going to get a job.

Today Orphas baby is 1 month old. I saw it last Saturday, it sure is nice. (it?) Mrs. Simington came over to the Henkel house and visited a while yesterday. It has been raining all day.

It is raining, I did my wash.
Thursday, March 16, 1944
Did my ironing, still drizzling. Dad went to sale at Mendon, I stayed home and cut carpet rags.

Went to Orpha, the baby is growing fine, but had a little cold. Orby went and fixed drain at Parchment house.

Nice day, Orby cut hole in hen coop so sow and pigs could get in chicken park.

Nice day but cold, Stayed home sure wanted to go some where but Orby would not go.

Spring begins,, sure lovely day.

Went to Otsego to sell the house on Morrell.

I did my wash, nice day but windy.

Went to Otsego, got car $200.00 that we bought as first payment on the house on Morrell Street. Ike helped dad home with it, we also bought 2 new tubes, cost $7.01.

Dad is fixing the new tires on our Studebaker car. I did the ironing, made fried cakes. (donuts)

It looked like it might rain today but at 12 it sure commencing snowing large flakes and ground is all covered with snow.

Merle's was here for dinner, had a lovely time. Daisy's come in afternoon, it stormed in evening.

Went to Otsego, Merle moved a few things over to his new home.

I did my wash.

I mopped the kitchen, the farm man was here today.
Thursday, March 30, 1944
Went to Parchment to drain water from pipes. Sure snowed hard, we stopped at Orphas, she was not so good. The baby is nice. Bobby was there. We could hardly see our way home it snowed so hard.

Calf 28 days old today.
