(Rosa and Orby are living in Vicksburg Michigan on V Avenue and Portage Road --
I thought..but maybe not all the time, sounds like they are just finishing the new house there)

(My count so far: They own property on Morrell Street,Orleans Street and Wilmot Street in Otsego and the farm in Vicksburg)

4 eggs. Orby and I are putting trim on our windows.
Thursday, October 2, 1941
6 eggs. We are putting trim on our windows, they look nice.
Friday, October 3, 1941
5 eggs. Orby went after flooring for our new home.
Saturday, October 4, 1941
3 eggs. We started laying floor today. It is raining.
Sunday, October 5, 1941
4 eggs. We have two rooms about done, it is some job. We sure get tired, I sort and saw and Orby lays it.

5 eggs. Daisy and Ike was here, they bought 8 windows at $4.00.

4 eggs. Went to Orpha's, stayed all nite. Bud took us over to Bangor to look at some furniture.

4 eggs. We came home this morning, so we wanted to look for rooms. We found one $5.00 a week, every thing furnished.

5 eggs. Went to farm to help do some work there, it is nice day.

4 eggs. Was to Merle's, his pullets look nice. Today 1897 my Mother died in Lafountain, Indiana, was buried at Courter Indiana.

5 eggs. Was over to farm, they are putting in furnace. Was to Daisy's.
Friday, October 17, 1941
4 eggs. They had a stork shower on Letha. I wanted to go so bad but I could not.
Saturday, October 18, 1941
4 eggs. Came over to farm to stay awhile.
Sunday, October 19, 1941
3 eggs. We stayed home and piped the cold water in.
Monday, October 20, 1941
Merchant came to finish wiring and septic men are here putting in tank and dry wall.
Tuesday, October 21, 1941
2 eggs. Merle's was here, brought our 6 chickens, cost $5.33. Septic men are here.

4 eggs.
Friday, October 24, 1941
3 eggs. Went to Dorothy's to stay till Orby come from work. Had a lovely time.
Saturday, October 25, 1941
3 eggs. Killed tow chickens, one white, one speckled. Orby cleaned out chicken, cook first time.

4 eggs. Went to Merle's, stayed all nite. Bought birthday card of Mrs. Foust for $1.00

Merle brought me home, he bought a chest of draws for $5.00. I bought lamp shade $1.00.
Thursday, October 30, 1941
5 eggs. I rented house on Orleans Street to Livingston.
Friday, October 31, 1941
5 eggs. I did my wash, cleaned house.
