Monday, November 1, 1943
7 eggs. Today in 1897, Daddy died, we was moving to Denver Indiana and he died with heart trouble. Orby tended to the dog today.
Tuesday, November 2, 1943
7 eggs. I did my wash and ironing. Orby husked corn. They picked the corn acres today.
Wednesday November 3, 1943
11 eggs. I washed the curtain in front and bedrooms today.
Thursday, November 4, 1943
8 eggs. It is nice day, went to sale near Lawton, but did not stay. Then went to Kalamazoo, saw Bud, got the spring he welded for our chair. The men finished picking corn across from our house today.
Friday, November 5, 1943
7 eggs. took big saws pigs away today. It is raining. I cleaned front room.
Saturday, November 6, 1943
5 eggs. Orpha and Bud and his neighbors were here this evening, brought corn and oats. Orpha got butter $1.38.
Sunday, November 7, 1943
7 eggs. Stayed home, it rained and was bad. Put up clothes line wire.
Monday, November 8, 1943
8 eggs. Dad is husking corn, it is cold and trying to rain. Took butter to Merle 75cts. and Daisy 90ct.
Tuesday, November 9, 1943
7 eggs. Sent for princess pattern today, Orby went to Kalamazoo to see about coal. My kitten is gone, saw Daisy last night, she is lot better.

6 eggs. Orby is husking corn.

7 eggs. Orby is painting upstairs. Sun shining bright, snowing.
Friday, November 12, 1943
6 eggs. Orby is husking corn, the weather is damp and cold looking. Put ad in paper to sell boar, starting to put cows in barn.

6 eggs. Orby went to Vicksburg.

5 eggs. Orby painting the bedroom down stairs this forenoon, then Willard's came here a few minutes, then Orphas come here just a few minutes and Merle's come. We had a nice time, the boys went rabbit hunting. Bud got one, Merle's stayed to supper, Orpah got $1.47 butter 90cts eggs.

5 eggs. We sold 3 bushel oats at 90ct. a bushel. My nice kitten was found killed, so we now have only two Tom cats.

5 eggs. Orby husked corn, I sorted out my papers and cards.

4 eggs. Orby husked corn. The heifer layed on one of the Tom cats and now we have only one.

5 eggs. Orby husked corn, I am cleaning house.

6 eggs. Orby is husking corn, I did some cleaning and sorted our cards and papers.

5 eggs. Orby is husking corn.

4 eggs. Orby sold 33 bushel oats today and fixed corn crib. I cleaned chicken for dinner.
Monday, November 22, 1943
6 eggs. Went to Kalamazoo got Merle $3.00. 1 cent each brick and some 2 inch boards for cover $1.25, for dry well, took dinner with Merle.
Tuesday, November 23, 1943
6 eggs. I did my wash and churned. Orby husking corn today. Went to Orpha, sure feel bum, I can't hardly go, I am so tired.
Wednesday, November 24, 1943
3 eggs. I mopped and cleaned the bathrooms. Orby husk corn, it sure is a nice day.
Thursday, November 25, 1943
8 eggs. Orby is husking corn, sure is a nice day and won't I be glad when all the corn is husked. I did ironing and mending.
Friday, November 26, 1943
3 eggs. Orby is still husking corn. Sure nice day, made Orby some gloves. I saw Hayward go long with some plaster or lime today, got my dress pattern today.

Stayed home, Orby husked corn, had chicken for dinner.

Went to Otsego and Merle's, I stayed with Merle tonight. Letha helped me fix my silk dress. Nice day.

Still at Merle's, having a great time. Went after Mrs. Cunningtons rent. Letha went to town, nice day.
