(The Allied forces invaded France, and there are strawberries, hay and rabbits.

Today is sister Silva birthday, she is 64.
Friday, June 2, 1944
Orby will finish house paing one coat today.
Saturday, June 3, 1944
Merle's was here for supper, my but my head hurt. I could hardly get around.
Sunday, June 4, 1944
Stayed home all day.
Monday, June 5, 1944
Went to Otsego, I may get me a wave this week. Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Scholten to see about place.
Tuesday, June 6, 1944
This morning a round two the Allies invaded France. Saw Merle, where he works. Had short cake for supper.
Wednesday, June 7, 1944
I did my wash, dad cultivated corn over first time.
Thursday, June 8, 1944
Dad took 5 hogs and 3 calves to market. Had strawberry short cake for dinner. Hogs $118.65 Calves $78.83.

Went to Otsego had my hair curled, permanent wave, cost $2.00. Rained today.

Stayed home, Dad is tearing car up. Ike was here a while today, Kenneth and Betty, and Rosie was here.

Mays calf is tow weeks old, Went to Otsego, the children came home with us to stay a while.
Tuesday, June 13, 1944
Took 2 1/2 crates strawberries, sold them @25 ct. a crate, took load corn to Aston's @1.25. 42 1/2 bushel.
Wednesday, June 14, 1944
Took corn to Aston, 42 bushel of 60 lb @1.25. 2 crate of 5 boxes @ 25Ct a box strawberries. Had 1 can sour milk. Dad got shirt for Fathers Day from Ike's.
Thursday, June 15, 1944
Dad is cultivating corn, second time. The children are here and are having a good time. I canned 6 qt. strawberries today. I left them in oven 40 minutes at 275. Thick syrup, 1 can sour milk.

The children are sure having a nice time.

Took the children home after dinner, saw Merle.

Merle's were over for a short visit, got Dad a box candy for Fathers Day, Letha picked a few strawberries.
Monday, June 19, 1944
Went to Parchment then looked for hay baler. Ike got tires, and went back before we saw them. Today is Brothers birthday, he would be 61.

Dad has commenced making hay.
Wednesday, June 21, 1944
Bred rabbit today, her babies are 3 weeks old, rained today.

Took Red to Bull.

Went to Orphas, Bobby came home with us. (He is 14)
Saturday, June 24, 1944
Went to Otsego to see about getting some one to help with hay. Bobby went with us. Betty is going to get married soon he said.

Ike and Daisy came over today to help Dad make hay.
Monday, June 26, 1944
I feel all tired out today, Bobby went home today, we gave him $5.00 for helping us.
Tuesday, June 27, 1944
Orby cut More hay down.
Wednesday, June 28, 1944
We raked, Orby and i took hay in 2 loads, we tried to fix hay rake but it broke again. Little rabbits 4 weeks old.
Thursday, June 29, 1944
Orby and I took in 7 loads hay. We sure are tired and my foot aches me bad. We have out yet over two big loads.
Friday, June 30, 1944
Took in hay today.
